These Japanese words express an honorable action, "to make a supreme effort."
Everyone who joined the April 2011 A to Z Blog Challenge chose to make a supreme effort. Those who posted articles, anywhere from A to Z, succeeded.
Omedetoo Gozaimasu! Congratulations.

Heavens! That's a long way round to say "Congratulations" but, Omedetoo Gozaimasu to you too!
ReplyDeleteArigato, Gail. Congratulations to you as well. This was an awesome challenge, though I am still slogging through. I'm so very glad we connected and I look forward to my continued visits here.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to come back and explore your blog. It's very nice. Thank you for finding me.

Oh, ok. Thanks. When you wrote Zetsudai no doryoku osuru, I thought "what is that?" LOL but I'm glad to now know what it means.
ReplyDeleteI hope that I can learn the Japanese language one day. I've been trying to figure out the best approach to learn foreign languages because I wonder what's better....books, DVDs, CDs, software, college courses or private instruction....I like how Julia Roberts got someone to teach her Italian in "Eat, Pray, Love" but I can't afford to go to Italy right now just to learn another language, you know, lol.
I will continue reading your blog and am glad that I found it.

I had to see what your line meant... yes we all tried, that's for sure. Good to meet you (oh and your Y is perfect as yellow is my favorite color!)

ReplyDeleteThank you, again, everyone for visiting!
ReplyDeleteTo Elizabeth, Marian, and Talei, mahalo for complementing me with your awards. I have already added Elizabeth's award to my wall.
Marian and Talei, I will concentrate on fulfilling the duties attached to your awards after I return from my trip and can give them, rightfully, my full attention.
